Bayside American Breakfast by Anja Wade

Bayside American Breakfast by Anja Wade

The Breakfast Favorites kit immediately made me think of my favorite breakfast spot in Portland, ME. My friends and I visit Portland every summer, and Bayside American Café is our go-to breakfast place. When I saw this kit, I knew I wanted to use the graphic word cards. I love the colors and I love word art. I also pulled out a colorful striped card, and a plain card for journaling.

I chose four pictures from our most recent visit. Two are of my friends and two focus on details – the restaurant and the food. Once I’d selected my cards and pictures, the layout came together pretty quickly.

The Brooklyn alpha stamp set is a tinier version of the Highline alpha, which I love. It was the perfect size to stamp the restaurant name on a label sticker. I attached the label to a card and did a little journaling underneath.

I’m a big fan of the label stickers that come with the main kit each month – I always end up using them to add some extra journaling or information to my layouts. I often let my label sticker overhang the edge of the card or photo and cut off part of it. On this layout I used both sides of a label sticker. Cutting them in half means you get two stickers out of one!

I stamped the date on the striped card, and used vellum to add some stamping and journaling to some of my photos. The stamp set that comes with this month’s kit is so perfect! I love the celebration of coffee, carbs, and bacon!

I used the tiny letter stickers that came with the kit to add some finishing touches.

This month’s main kit is another great one, with bright, vibrant colors, and a really fun theme! Thanks for taking a peek at it with me!
