Hi there, welcome to the blog! I’m here with my Traveler’s Notebook Kit project for May. It’s called Flower Shop and it’s DARLING! I have to say that I usually have a hard time with the build a scene kind of stamp sets. I don’t know what it is, I just see the blocks and don’t know how to put them all together! But then I see other people put stuff together and I’m always floored! So this month, this was the first set I grabbed to work with because I know there’s so many amazing things you can do with these kinds of sets, I just need to challenge myself!
I adore this scene that Tina put together. The idea of interchanging it from florals to plants to coffee and paper is just brilliant. I just feel like it is this little spot in Portland that I would want to visit! So starting with the base was easy since it was a shop front. I chose to go blue because I’m really trying to steer away from always reaching for black ink! The pops of colors for the flowers and plants were my favorite! I could totally get used to this!
This is a fairly new Traveler’s Notebook but what I love by the end of it, there’s so many layers. I deliberately choose to place things over the edges so that when it’s closed and full, there’s stuff hanging out!
There’s so many fun patterns and elements to this kit. I love how versatile it is. I know that I can get so much use out of it! Be sure to snag your kit before they all sell out! Thanks for popping by!
