Summer Reading List by Theresa Doan
Hello everyone! Theresa here to share another traveler’s notebook layout with you. Summer break is flying by and the July releases are perfect for documenting all of our Summer activities. Festivals, BBQ’s, camping, swimming and reading! I love all the extra time we have during break to read for fun. I don’t always make the time for myself during the school year, so I wanted to document all the reading I’ve been doing this Summer using the Bookworm Travelers Notebook kit.
I’ve been reading the Harry Potter series, a series I started years ago with my oldest son but never finished. I wanted to make note of all seven books in the series and I knew the library card patterned paper would be perfect for that. I found a Hogwart’s patch at Target that I wanted to use on this layout. I made sure to leave the second row of cards empty for the patch. I then typed the titles of all the seven books as well as Harry Potter’s name on the first row and the bottom two rows of cards. I took the book outline stamp and stamped it randomly around the page before adding the patch.
Next, I chose the “reading” page for my journaling. I added my journaling with a typewriter. To create the “summer reading time” title, I took the “summer is...” stamp from the Summer Fun Stamp set and just stamped the word “summer” above “reading”. I took the “family time” stamp and just stamped the word “time” under “reading”.
