Museum of Ice Cream by Theresa Doan
Hello everyone! Theresa here to share another layout from my traveler's notebook. For this layout, I used the Number One monthly kit along with the new Ramona Alphabet stamp set. My family recently went to the Museum of Ice Cream in San Francisco. It was so much fun and filled with lots and lots of pink! I knew I wanted to use pink in creating my title and somehow incorporate ice cream.
When going through the March releases, I tried to think outside the box a little and see what I could use to create ice cream. I took the circle from the stamp set in the number one kit to create scoops of ice cream in two different shades of pink. I then used washi tape to create a mask of an ice cream cone. I took the dotted patterned stamp from the same set and stamped a cone in brown ink.
Next, I used the Ramona alphabet set to create most of my title. First I stamped museum and a ice cream in dark pink. Then I took a small label sticker and spelled of with the pink alpha stickers. A really simple title page but I love how it came out!
I decided to type my journaling on kraft glassine paper. I thought it would help to draw out the brown from the cone on the first page. I adhered a photo above the journaling and added the date to it with the pink alpha stickers.
We took a lot of photos in the museum that I wanted to include. I took 2 instax page protectors and layered those beneath the glassine paper that I did my journaling on. I was able to add 8 additional photos, neatly hidden beneath my journaling. I hope my process inspires you to think outside of the box a little bit!
