As soon as I opened my November kit, I knew what I wanted to scrapbook. I’ve had pictures and memorabilia from my Disney College Program from 2011 that I’ve been meaning to scrapbook. I knew that this fun, magic themed kit would be perfect for capturing the magic of that time.
During my Disney College Program, my family met me during my birthday weekend for a vacation. It was so fun to show them around Disney World. It happened to be the Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot, so it was extra magical. I started this layout by printing some of my favorite photos. Then, I pulled out cards from the kit that matched well. I really wanted to play up the flowers in the photos, so I picked lots of bright, pink cards.
Next, I added the embellishments and stamps. During that trip, we “ate around the world” by sharing food at each country around Epcot. It was so fun! I added alphabet stickers to a card to highlight that memory. I wanted to add photos from the countries as well. I made captions by using the labels included in the kit and stamping with the Sullivan St. stamp set. These letters are really small, so it’s easy to fit on the labels. I made one for Italy and France.
On the Cinderella photo, I cut a banner out of a scrap piece of paper and used the happiest place stamp from the main kit to add text to the banner. I made another label to go on the Rapunzel tower picture. I didn’t want to cover too much of the photo, so I turned the label on the side to attach it to the picture.
The Orchard stamp set is such a pretty font. I stamped my letters so that each letter was touching. Then, I carefully cut it out and put it over the magical moment stamp. I used my tiny attacher to staple it to the card.
This kit is so fun to work with. It’s so happy and bright. And it felt really good to make some progress on my “to be scrapbooked” pile! What magical memories are you documenting with this month's kit?
