Rainy London Town

Rainy London Town

Hello everyone, Krista here to share a Project Life spread. I’m still working my way through my summer mini album from 2016 - oh the shame! - but I knew I had the perfect layout for the new Gray Days stamp set!

We got lucky when we were in London in August that it didn’t rain very much. We only really had one rainy day but we made the most of it. We grabbed hats and put up our hoods and wandered the city seeing the sights and not surprisingly, all of the outdoor tourist attractions were relatively empty.

For this 6” by 12” pocket page layout I did a bunch of stamping on my photos starting with the top photo. I added Rainy Days And Mondays from the Rainy Days stamp set above the beautiful gates to Buckingham Palace and to the bottom photo I added rain clouds overhead from that same stamp set. I added a little strip of wash tape underneath the stamping to make it pop.

In the middle pockets I tucked my story and another photo with a bit of stamping on vellum. On the left, I printed my story on an olive green card from the Lucky ones main kit and added a few enamel dots. On the right I stamped weather the storm & it’s ok on yellow + clear vellum and overlapped them onto my photo, attaching using my tiny attacher.

After a few hours in the rain, we needed a little refuge from the storm so we made our way to Sketch where we ate dessert and had a few drinks to end the night. Sketch is an all-pink restaurant so the new Carpe Diem mini kit designed by Tina Azmus came in quite handy for this spread.

I added my title Sketch using the Chelsea alpha stamp set to a pink journaling card from the Carpe Diem kit before tearing it off and adding it to my top photo. I also added a few staples and some enamel dots for good measure.

I kept the middle fairly simple by adding just my photo and the story on a striped journaling card from the main kit, Lucky ones kit and adding Carpe Diem to another scrap of pink from the kit of the same name. At the bottom I added a YES card from the main kit; Lucky Ones, on the left and on the right is a pic of our delicious desserts on which I added love every minute from the Carpe Diem stamp set.

As always the latest kits + stamps are beautiful and very versatile. They always make it super easy to get a whole lot of scrapbooking done!
