One of Dumbledore's Army by Theresa Doan
Happy Halloween everyone! Theresa here to share another traveler’s notebook layout! I was so thrilled when I saw the Platform 9 3/4 stamp set Kelly created. My son asked to be Harry Potter for Halloween this year and has been so obsessed with his costume. Especially his wand and glasses, I couldn’t wait to document this!
I started by stamping “Harry Potter” with the Louise alphabet in black ink. I took the glasses stamp from the Platform 9 3/4 set, but only inked the lightening part of it in yellow, and stamped that above my title. I stamped “one of Dumbledore’s army” below the title. I used a piece of vellum to add my journaling on my typewriter.
On the right page, I made a patterned background. I stamped a row each of the glasses, scarf, wand, accio speech bubble, the golden snitch and the sign of the deathly hollows. I added a photo of my son in his costume, that I printed on my Instax printer. I then took golden yellow alphabet stickers and spelled out “Gryffindor”. I just love how this layout turned out!
I just finished reading the Harry Potter series recently and we have a planned Harry Potter movie marathon with family coming up. I can see a lot of layouts coming together with this fun stamp set, including more Halloween layouts! Can’t wait to see what everyone creates with this set. Thanks for stopping by the blog today!
