Girls to the Front
Hi there! Thanks for stopping by today’s blog post. I love the colors in the Main My Universe kit and the Forever Traveler’s notebook kit. One of the first things I do when I get my goodies from Kelly Purkey is to divide up my cards into ones that I will be working with. She always puts a few different looks/colors together so I feel like I can get a few different themes out of just the one month! So I wanted to use the We Go High stamp set and I thought the cards/designs really complimented the feel I was looking for. I wanted to do a ‘Women’s” page but wanted it to feel young and carefree as my girls are young. I also went for the green Traveler’s Notebook so that the whole spread was colorful.
One of my favorite things about the kits is the labels! When you’re using a Traveler’s Notebook, I find it very convenient to have little spots where to stamp and stick. It makes for a more grounded spread. One of my favorite labels is the top green one with the May We Know stamp repeatedly stamped. I also liked the Nevertheless stamping I did on the card, though I wish maybe the photo was smaller so that you can see the stamping better. Mixing ink colors is a fun way to make a statement. I used the red ink for Strong Women but then used black right under it for The Future is Ours.
I really love mixing the patterns on the cards. The stars and dots with the bushes keeps the page young while still having a pretty grown up message. I hope that you have seen a few stamping techniques here that will inspire you to make your own spread!
