Boozy Ice Cream by Jen Carlson
If you know me, you know I was loving the teals in this month’s kits! And also if you know me, you know I love ice-cream! So what better to document, than a new ice-cream shop I went to when I was visiting my home town of St. Louis. Clementine’s had charm and I highly recommend it if you’re ever in the area. Who else has flavors like Brandy Alexander and Manhattan?!
I used the All You Need is Ice Cream set to stamp “flavor”, “scoop quantity”, and “location” on my journaling card. It’s always easy to stamp in black ink and stay safe, but I really wanted to add a bit of color. These tiny little stamps were just enough to use a smidge of teal ink and not overpower the card.
The card with the “hi” speech bubble from the Hold On main kit was super cute as-is, but ya know, that bubble kinda looked like it wanted to be a scoop to me. I used a tiny cone stamp from the Ice Cream set right underneath the bubble and added journaling with my typewriter.
The little banner from the Ice Cream stamp set was also a must-use on this layout. I love that there’s an option for ice-cream as well as soft-serve because, we all know, there IS a difference and occasion for each! I wanted the banner to pop off the photo and also wanted to be sure of placement so I stamped it on cardstock first and fussy cut around it.
Maybe you’re like me and ice cream is just your absolute favorite dessert. And maybe you take endless pictures of every unique flavor, no matter how many places frequented. If so, you gotta get this stamp set. I promise it’ll get plenty of use! Thanks for stopping by to check out my pocket page layout!
