Outside Lands by Theresa Doan
I've noticed more and more recently when going to events, I've been getting a lot more wristbands than tickets lately. Although I love some of the fun wristbands I've received, there's just something about those paper tickets that I just love. I Immediately fell in love with the Admit One Traveler's Notebook kit and the coordinating alpha set! I loved the idea of being able to create my own little tickets to add to my journals and scrapbooks.
For this layout, I chose two coordinating patterned papers from the kit. On the left page, I added a patch I got from the music festival I attended. I then took a sheet of kraft sticker paper and white ink to create a ticket to place under the patch. I love the combination of white ink on kraft!
On the right page, I used the alphabet set to stamp out the names of the acts that we saw and also on which day we saw them. I also added the location and a little bit of journaling. For the days of the week on this layout, I just wanted to use abbreviations, since they would fit nicely in the corner of each box.
I found the best way to use part of a stamp is with good old washi tape. I just cover the part of the stamp I don't want to use with washi tape and ink up as usual. I then remove the washi tape, leaving only the part of the stamp I want to use inked. Then stamp the image. I also used this technique to stamp the "live music" stamp onto two lines on the ticket I created.
I hope you have as much fun as I did documenting events you've gone to with this fun kit and stamp set! There's so many different combinations and looks you can create!
