Hey, scrapbookers. It’s Laura here and I’m excited to share my May 7th-May 13th scrapbook layout with you. This was a busy week for me. I had three friends come in from out of town all in the same week, so the week was packed with lunches, dinners, and meet ups with so many great people. I love that the colors in the kits this month were so bright and warm! I love that they helped me capture the warm and happy feelings from the week.

I love stamping, because you can get creative with how you ink the stamp to create even more designs. I used the Yay! Friendship! stamp from the You Get Me stamp set and separated it into two different labels to get it to fit on a label. I carefully inked only the Yay! part of the stamp and stamped it down. I made sure the ink was dry and then carefully inked the other half of the stamp and put it on another label. I find that some of the stamps I want to use won’t fit where I want them, so it’s fun to get creative with how I use them.

I always put the dates for the week in the top left card. I love that the geometric print card had a label already on it, so I put that in the top corner. It had three small gray lines above the blank label. After I stamped the dates on the card, I added tiny staples in these three lines. I love that they matched up perfectly and added a little texture to the card.

The You Get Me stamp set was released at the perfect time to document all my chats with my friends. I love meeting up and talking about creativity. My friends are amazing and always supportive of my biggest dreams. The You Get Me stamp was so fitting. I wanted to highlight that phrase, so I stamped it on cardstock and stapled it to my favorite rainbow card from the Hold On main kit.

I had such an amazing week. I met a friend for lunch, met up from three different dinners with three different friends, watched The Handmaid’s Tale with my sister and grandma, when to the movies with my husband, and met a friend of coffee. Unfortunately for my scrapbook, I barely took any photos! I love using these monthly kits to help fill in the page and add text, so I can remember what a great week I had. For me, scrapbooking is all about memory keeping. I love adding date stamps, labels, and text with my typewriter to document the details.
