I loved two things about creating this Travelers Notebook spread:  One, that I used not only TN patterned pages, but 3x4 cards as well.  Two, that I incorporated some items that extended off the page.  I’m not ordinarily a fan of things sticking out of my album, but tiny tabs and cute trees?  I’ll make an exception.

I adhered my left side photo to a 3x4 card cut down to matte the image with a patterned border.  While trying to decide what ink color to use, I realized the combination of all three blue shades on scrap paper worked great together!  I then stamped “on the road” below my photo in an order such to connect the top blue matte with the bottom teal card.  The teal TN card already had the luggage tag on it, but I thought the airplane stamp from the Travel Favorites kit was a great addition, especially since we flew to Oregon and then took a road trip ;)

The top right area I wanted to appear as if I had made a pocket within the blue TN page.  By layering two 3x4 journaling cards and slicing off the bottoms, I achieved that effect without the bulk.  I stamped the trees and mountains from the Roam stamp set to add more details to the cards.  And see?  Some cute trees hanging out the top isn’t so bad!

The bottom half of the right side was left minimal with stamps from the Best Coast set and Road Trip main kit stamp set.  I’m totally loving the new 4x6 label stickers, especially those tiny ones that you can fold over the edge of a page.  Tabs in a TN?!  I think I may have to repeat this.

Thanks for stopping by to take a look at my TN spread!  I hope I gave you a few ideas for creating your next layout!  I’d love to see what creations you come up with using these same products!
