Hello Seven by Anja Wade
Hi! It’s Anja, and I’m here to share a layout I created with some of the new April products from Kelly Purkey Shop. I had so much fun using the pinks and aquas in this month’s Good Things kit and the 100% Fun Travelers Notebook kit to create this spread about my nieces. I chose a grid card, a striped card from the Good Things kit, and a sheet of paper from the Rest & Relax Traveler’s Notebook kit (cut down to 3x4). The girls are really into pink, so I definitely wanted to highlight that color on my spread.
One of my favorite ways to accent a pocket page spread is to use three circles to create a visual triangle on the page. For this layout, I punched three circles out of white cardstock. I used stamps from several of this month’s stamp sets (Do Your Thing, Head in the Clouds mini kit stamp, and 100% Fun Travelers Notebook kit stamp) to add some phrases that capture some of my feelings about the day. Then I attached them to my photos with my tiny attacher.
I used the rest of the traveler’s notebook paper I cut down to 3x4 to hand cut a seven accent to serve as a title, since we were celebrating my older niece’s birthday. I decided to decorate that with hearts and stars as well, to give the page a fun and whimsical feel. My nieces are all about imagination, and I wanted the spread to reflect that.
When the family gets together, I try to get pictures of my nieces in action. I also like to try to capture images of people interacting with one another. I love the picture of my brother playing Legos with the girls, and of my other brother sharing some photos with my dad. To finish my layout, I added some journaling on the grid card, then stacked up three label stickers to jot down some additional details about the day. I’m really happy with the way this layout captures the fun day we spent together!
