So Many Projects by Laura Hager
I always love the color combinations from the Kelly Purkey kits, but this month was so good! I was so excited when I opened my kit and saw the beautiful colors! I’m still working on getting my 2016 album caught up and there was a week that I had several projects going on and I knew this fun kit would be perfect for capturing the excitement of all my projects.
I started by matching my favorite cards together. I always start with my photos and one or two cards. I layout the pages and try different cards from the kit until I find my favorite combination. I always label the top card with the date, so I cut out a green label from the kit and stamped the dates for the week. I LOVE the Admit One Alpha set. The font is amazing and the size is so fun. These alphas are small and perfect for fitting in labels. I know I say this all the time, but these really are my new favorite stamps. I really wanted to use them a lot, so I added ‘this week’ above the date.
One of my many projects that I was documenting in this layout was adding an art print of a cactus to our bathroom. Being from the desert, I was so happy to see cactus and desert themed stamps in the Wild stamp set. I cut out a circle and stamped the two cactuses from the stamp set. Then I used the alphabet stickers from the September Home Sweet Home kit to spell out ‘Phoenix.’ One the photo next to that, I stamped ‘home’ from the stamp set included in the September kit.
The bottom card was so fun to make. I used one of the 3x4 cards and cut out the shapes on the card. Then I used the Admit One Alphas again to stamp on the little label pieces. I used my type writer to add text to the 6x4 card. Then I used adhesive and my tiny attacher to add the labels to the larger card. I had some extra room after typing, so I included the ‘homemade’ stamp from the September kit.
These September kits are so good! It was so fun to work with all the September products. There is such a huge variety in how you can use all the September release stamp sets. I can’t wait to see how everyone uses these kits!
