Ice Cream Everyday by Heba Alsibai
I always start my spread by covering at least one side of my layout with pattern paper. I used the pink pattern paper from the Flower Shop Traveler’s Notebook Kit to cover the left side of my layout. Then to darken up that pink and give a base for my photo I added a black and white strip of patterned paper. This really helped break down all the pink on my spread. One of my favorite things to do is layer my picture, so using some scrap paper and phrases from the All You Need Is Ice Cream Stamp Set helped me create more layers for my picture.
I stamped a few ice cream cones and swirls from the All You Need Is Ice Cream stamp set on some pink and blue pattern paper. I used my circle punch to punch out some of the circles and fussy cut out the rest. Wanting to use the ice cream cones as an extra fun element for my title.
But first I needed to stamp my title, I used a few different stamp set to do this. Using the All You Need Is Ice Cream Stamp Set to stamp ALL YOU NEED, then used the Highline Alpha Stamp to stamp ICE CREAM. Half way through I noticed that I didn’t have enough space to finish my title with the same alpha stamps. So I had to improvise, using some Kelly Purkey alpha stickers to add the last bit of my title. Which ended up saying ALL I NEED IS ICE CREAM ALL DAY EVERYDAY!
Once the title was stamped out. I added the ice cream swirls and cones, that I stamped and fussy cut out earlier, to the right side of my spread. Wanting more domination I adhered the cones with foam dots and added some crystal drops to the ice cream swirls and to my spread. I really like how I was able to document this fun summer treat that I wish I could eat every single day.
Thank you so much for passing by the Kelly Purkey Blog. I hope I was able to inspire you on how to use your Traveler’s Notebook Kit and new stamps sets.
